Model Significance

The 1992 AL-Mega XT is one of the final great classics from Alpinestars' iconic Elevated Chainstay (ECS) era. This model utilized Easton VariLite ProGram 7000 series aluminum tubing, resulting in significant weight savings and increased stiffness. The frame geometry was unique for its extra-short chainstays (419 mm), providing exceptional climbing traction. The graphics are dominated by early 90s neon colors and dynamic, "brush-stroke" style patterns.
