The 1992 AL-Mega XTR represents the absolute top-tier racing frameset at the pinnacle of Alpinestars' elevated chainstay (ECS) design archive. Constructed from premium Easton VariLite ProProgram 7000-series aluminum tubing with a mirror-polished finish, this chassis was specifically optimized to run the debut 8-speed Shimano XTR (M900) elite component group. Featuring a 403mm chainstay and a curved seat tube, it was engineered to deliver maximum mud clearance paired with unparalleled climbing traction for professional cross-country racing.
Decal Set Features
The visual styling is dominated by vibrant early-'90s neon tones (yellow, pink, cyan) married to dynamic, paintbrush-stroke texture patterns designed to contrast against polished aluminum tubes. The core of the package consists of the bold white alpinestars logotypes bound by a sharp black outline, set against abstract background splash panels, completed by the model-specific AL-MEGA XTR branding labels.
