Model Significance

The 1992 AL-Mega XTR was the absolute flagship of the Alpinestars lineup, equipped with Shimano's then-revolutionary XTR (M900) groupset. The frame was constructed using Easton's top-tier VariLite ProGram 7000 series aluminum tubing. Its technical highlight was the EOSystem (Elevated Over-size System), which, combined with a curved seat tube, allowed for an extremely short 403 mm chainstay, providing unmatched climbing traction and mud clearance.
