Model Significance

The year 1991 for Alpinestars was focused on refining the EOSystem (Elevated Over-size System). In this model year, the AL-Mega DX received its characteristic curved seat tube, which allowed the rear wheel to be tucked forward, resulting in a radically short chainstay and excellent mud clearance. The frame was constructed from 7005-series "Mega" aluminum tubing. This design stood out as one of the most defining mountain bike concepts of the early 1990s, blending technical innovation with bold aesthetics.

Decal Set Features

The visual design centers around distinctive, neon pink background panels accented with black textures and yellow secondary tones. The core elements comprise the solid white al-mega dx and alpinestars logotypes highlighted by a thick black outline, with the latter featuring an intersecting neon pink handwritten USA script. The package incorporates specific technical typography referencing the frame's architecture, including Elevated Oversize System, ALUMINUM Stays, and the fork-specific CRO-MO Blades callouts.
