Model Significance

The AL-Mega XT was the flagship model of Alpinestars' 1990 lineup. Featuring the signature Elevated Chainstay (ECS) design, the frame was constructed from 7005 aluminum "Mega" tubing with a premium brushed finish. Named after the Shimano Deore XT (730/732 series) groupset it was equipped with, this model represented the brand's technological pinnacle during the golden era of professional mountain bike racing.
