Model Significance

The 1993 Bear Valley SE (Special Equipment) was designed for performance-oriented riders, offering upgraded features over the standard Bear Valley. Featuring a Tange double-butted chromoly frameset with the signature Afterburner rear triangle, it delivered superior climbing efficiency and power transfer. The SE model was distinct for its factory-standard bar ends and bottle cages, marketed as a "race-ready" entry-level machine that combined the legendary Marin "Race Proven" geometry with a lighter, more focused build.
