Model Significance
The Peugeot Altus PR 500 C represents the French manufacturer's high-tier steel road racing and sport platform for the 1992 model year. The lugless chassis is constructed from butted British Reynolds 525 chromoly tubing (6/10 profile) utilizing Peugeot's internal direct-brazing technology (PBS – Peugeot Direct Brazing System), yielding smooth tube transitions and maximized structural rigidity. Configured in the standard dual-chainring 14-speed specification with indexed Shimano components, the PR 500 C delivers direct power transfer, balanced handling, and classic steel road compliance.
Decal Set Features
The core of the package consists of the outlined PEUGEOT down tube logotypes. The transfer package incorporates the framed ALTUS top tube scripts along with the corresponding PR 500 designations positioned along the top tube. The set includes the drive-side seatstay 14 SPEED INDEX indicator, technical markings including CAD (PEUGEOT CYCLES COMPUTER DESIGN) and PBS (PEUGEOT DIRECT BRAZING SYSTEM), alongside the MADE IN FRANCE origin transfer. Completing the kit are multiple stylized Peugeot lion outlines for the head tube, fork blades, and seat stays, REYNOLDS 525 frame and fork transfers, and a black chainstay protector.
