Model Significance

The Peugeot Competition 6000 stands as the French manufacturer's premier aluminum road racing machine for the 1997 model year, cataloged under factory reference CPA6000P for the standard 16-speed double configuration and CPA6003P for the 24-speed (32x42x52) triple specification. Constructed from specialized French Pechiney Aluminium 5086 Aviatube alloy, the chassis utilizes rigid ovalized and elliptical tubing designed for instantaneous power transfer, paired with aerodynamic chainstays and distinctive curved "SNAKE" seat stays. Outfitted with a matching Peugeot straight-blade aluminum race fork, complete Shimano 105 STI groupset, and Mavic CXP 12 aero rims, the Competition 6000 represents pure late-1990s European aluminum racing design.

Decal Set Features

The core of the package consists of the prominent yellow PEUGEOT down tube logotypes terminating in high-contrast arrow profiles. The top tube graphics integrate the race-inspired checkered competition logotypes, the specialized black center runner displaying white A-L-U-M-I-N-I-U-M lettering, and the clean outlined 6000 model designations positioned toward the seat tube junction. The transfer package includes the vertical yellow PEUGEOT stay markings, the WORLD CHAMPION heritage decal, the monochrome head tube lion crest with MADE IN FRANCE designation, and the authentic oval ALUMINIUM 5086 AL AVIATUBE PECHINEY frame tubing transfer.
