The Specialized Allez Epic stands as the manufacturer's early 1991 carbon-technology road racing platform. The chassis features distinct carbon fiber tubes bonded into investment-cast aluminum lugs. This engineering approach delivered a lightweight, tight, and highly responsive frameset capable of national championship-level performance while maintaining excellent vibration dampening. The design retains a classic, aggressive road racing geometry.

The visual styling reflects the clean yet dynamic racing aesthetic of the early 90s, configured identically across different component trim options. The core of the package features the neon yellow ALLEZ logotypes styled with a thin, dark purple/bluish drop-shadow effect underneath the letters to create a subtle offset lift from the frame surface.
