Model Significance

The Specialized Allez Team stands as the manufacturer's flagship road racing platform from the 1987 catalog, representing a limited-edition, handbuilt frameset. Constructed in San Marcos, California, the chassis was crafted by master framebuilder Dave Tesch, utilizing premium Columbus SLX tubing bound with investment cast lugs and a custom fork crown. Engineered for professional competition, this platform features a 7-speed Shimano Dura-Ace indexed drivetrain paired with matching Dura-Ace aero brake levers.

Decal Set Features

The visual design embodies the 1987 factory Team colors. The centerpiece of the kit consists of multi-color brush-stroke accent bands transitioning through neon yellow, orange, and deep red. The primary ALLEZ logotypes feature a vibrant orange base layered over a darker ochre/mustard yellow drop-shadow contour. The comprehensive package incorporates the horizontally striped SPECIALIZED brand markings rendered in the same ochre yellow tone, overlaid with a scripted Team accent signature. The kit is completed by a trio of orange brush-stroke "S" crests, the factory chainstay transfer featuring the printed BUILT BY script, the handwritten david tesch signature, and the SAN MARCOS. CA location tag, alongside the rectangular gold-and-red COLUMBUS SLX Tubi Super Butted factory frame tube transfer.
