Model Significance
The Specialized Fatboy Hemi Comp stands as one of the most iconic, monocoque-inspired "mid-school" BMX racing platforms from the 2001 model year. Departing from conventional round tubesets, the chassis features a radical architecture constructed from custom-stamped, oversized aluminum half-pipe profiles welded together. This aggressive, hydroformed layout delivers maximum torsional rigidity and uncompromising power transfer, engineered specifically to handle the structural demands of professional BMX racing gates and technical dirt jump tracks.
Decal Set Features
The visual package accurately reproduces the definitive 2001 factory graphics, utilizing high-contrast geometric panels designed to follow the wide surfaces of the aluminum frame. The core of the kit consists of the massive black, white, and gray accent bands that seamlessly house the prominent, italicized white SPECIALIZED brand markings. The comprehensive transfer package incorporates the secondary comp and HEMI model scripts tailored for the rear stays, an assortment of solid white and solid black "S" (shattered lightning) logos, the blue oval Equipped with real SHIMANO freewheels technical transfers, a low-profile MADE IN TAIWAN script, alongside the circular, sprocket-bordered DESIGNED IN CALIFORNIA factory origin frame transfer.
