Model Significance

In the mid-1980s, the Rockhopper represented Specialized's drive to bring the off-road capability of the professional Stumpjumper to a wider audience. The 1986-87 series is defined by its rugged reliability, utilizing a double-butted CrMo frame that offered a balanced and responsive ride quality.
